BRENDAN RODGERS believes latest capture Wayne Routledge is the type of exciting player who will make Swansea City a Premier League hit.
Swansea beat off several Premier League and Championship clubs to secure the signature of the much-travelled 26-year-old on a three-year deal and Rodgers says he is ready to wow supporters.
Routledge will compete with Swansea's other two entertainers, Scott Sinclair and Nathan Dyer, for a starting spot and his manager said they are a trio to get fans excited.
"He knows he is coming to a great club that suits his style perfectly," said Rodgers. "He will add great competition and quality to the group.
"Technically he is very strong, he turns with the ball very well and tactically he is good because he has been playing first-team football at a high level since he was 17.
"He has got experience in the Premier League and Wayne is a player that excites the crowd and I love those types of players.
"When he gets into the final third he gets the crowd off their feet with a piece of magic."
Routledge's move comes just two days after the club announced the £1.75m signing of his former England Under-21 team-mate Leroy Lita.
It leaves Rodgers still searching for another defender and, more importantly, another goalkeeper before the Swans' first game on August 15.
Rodgers said his pursuit of Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp is likely to come to nothing, but hinted the club could be ready to sign trialist keeper Gerhard Tremmel.
"It (Camp) is something that at this stage would probably look highly unlikely to happen," Rodgers said.
"We've submitted a number of bids and they have all been rejected.
"We want to get players who can add to the squad and Gerhard did well.
"He impressed me when he was with us in Austria and I liked his calmness and composure and, very importantly, his management of the game."

AntiSec Hackers attract Vanguard Defense Industries

In addition to his membership of InfraGard, Garcia is the former global security manager for Shell Oil, and he previously served as assistant director belonging to the Los Angeles FBI office, AntiSec said. AntiSec apparently exploited two outdated plug-ins in the WordPress running a blog platform, which VDI was using. Items stolen by AntiSec consist of notes of internal meetings, contracts, schematics, non-disclosure agreements, personal information and facts about other VDI employees and several dozens counter-terrorism paperwork classified as "law enforcement sensitive" and for official use only, AntiSec claimed.
